Jesus heals, delivers and saves. He is the only one who gives everlasting life. Through Him we come to our Father in Heaven and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit because he carried our sins on the cross and rose from the dead.
To be saved you need a conversion to Jesus and a new birth from God. One speaks of a Christian rebirth when Jesus enters the heart of a person and makes the spirit of this person new out of God with Jesus resurrection life. The Bible calls these newly made people a new creation because they themselves were created out of Jesus God's life.
